I want this book to be a success, so I will never complain if someone dismisses me with a ‘Go write your Book of Number‘. It’s hard because it is so purposeful. This is a great opportunity to discuss four and for. The king of rectilinear numbers is the basis of so much thinking. Your longer fingers number four. They do things like type, grasp, extend, retract, curl and point. They do these things FOR purposes. They have purposefulness built into their larger network, specifically built into your brain and mind. This is something I have trouble with because I’m scared of having a purpose. It is too fraught with failure to declare a purpose. There are too many mistakes available. It puts you in the world’s eye, because only very negligible activities are mostly selfish. Even hygiene focuses on presentation. The nature of having a goal is to enter the world’s stage and become someone that is FOR something. It scares me because I don’t know what I’m best at or where I’d best put my efforts into. Right now I am contributing to this book, it is a steady goal, b8ut all of my larger steady goals have been sought to my social detriment. I changed my name for a purpose, that purpose has not been achieved. I graduated for a purpose, it too hasn’t happened. I prefer things like gaming or working out where the goal is simply to keep doing it until you are done. The metric that purposefulness has intimidates activity into a seriousness that sobers me.

Four is for verticals and horizontals. It is for squares and hexagons. It is for doorways and roofs. It is for floors and all surfaces. For and four is just too into the activity du jour and foriness only satisfies when the for is for glory, quests or missions. Otherwise it is easier and even preferable to be good for nothing. But that is not true and my disease should go away. Ideally most of our lives would be focused on making things better and having purposefulness. I just too often sacrifice or violate rules for that larger cause and misjudge what causes can succeed and which ones will exhaust my resources.

Foriness, that purposefulness, that four and for provide, also refines behavior and places severe limitations on the possible because there are a great many more ways that you can fail and miss. Doing things in pursuit of a purpose often requires perfect behavior on our parts. That is what four and ofr are to me. I can’t wait to get to Sev, Zote and Onte and out of these well-trodden paths. When my thinking doesn’t dovetail with other people’s I get worried and nervous. It’s the great crusade, the unity of purpose, the comaraderie and community where we get to do the most purposeful work. That’s what we are here for.
