I don’t usually opine on the latest news stories, but I do talk incessantly about suicells. These are units for people confirmed to be suicidal or homicidal, but not ready for even a solitary confinement situation. They are denied paper and pencil, i often point out, since that makes it a censorship issue, but in Clancy’s case there is another interesting feature we would benefit from if we granted these cell denizens their free speech. Clancy killed her kids and then tried to kill herself and instrumental in the trial was whether she was sane enough to be held responsible for the deaths of the children. Obviously anything we can do to prevent cases like this we should. Medicare for all, parental leave and support, early childhood communal placements socializing the children and giving all parents a break are vital. But in her suicell and along the path towards it, I would love to see both good footage of Lindsay and offer her a chance to use a suicell device to record what she thinks is most important. This helps determine guilt and presence of mind, but I think very importantly, the footage might bring some emotional humanity to the situationk, helping the many who have no clue how such a tragedy could take place the necessary data to educate themselves. Post partum psychosis claims lives, sometimes the most precious lives, and it could use some humanization so we can witness the inner workings and outter signalling of those struck by its deadly force.

So, Clancy is just another piece of evidence in my lifelong campaign to get suicells properly equipped with the harmless data collecting devices which could bring voice to these silenced victims. Sometimes the best we can do is plan on ways to gather more data.
