Is it worth changing ten to a different word? Zote is what I have been promoting. I like it because ten has a zero and zote makes sense. If we make all of the tens place numbers so that they rhyme with sveen (seventeen’s destination) then the count would go Zeen, Ween, Tween, Threen, Freen, feen, skeen, sveen, geen, neen. I think thast Zote, onte, toon, threen, forn, vine, snix, sveen, aint inte sounds a bit German but expresses the numbers more closely. Specifically Snix seems appropriate. But though I promote these numbers a specific way, I will not be unilaterally relabeling them. It will be a matter of usage that decides. So, in anticipation of inte being a dud I will now use neen for nineteen.
I don’t waver in how I say things because I want to use what little authority I have to promote a wholesome consistent progressive message. Numbers play a role in that but that’s not where my work ends.
