I am communicating online with someone who expresses suicidal thoughts. He has means and could easily go, just like that, dead. I have asked him to disarm. If I was his counselor I would be asking if he has specific plans while calling emergency services. But i am just an internet friend without an address to work with or even reliable steady communication. It is stressful and frustrating. He is young and smart. I’d like to educate him with my memes and try to forg3e a productive future for him. I wish I could trade places with him and be young and capable. All I can do is be there and say the sorts of things you say to people at the end of their rope. I hope he can relax a little and grow old enough to see how stupid and petty our concerns are and how most things work out on their own. That he doesn’t need to panic or think these thoughts full of despair.
