Physically changing a symbol is hardly a mathematical interactiodn, but my head is flooded with thoughts of straightening curves and hammering angles that could four a seven. In my head it is dumbers we manipulate this way until we get a simple system of actions that change a number physically into any other number. The action is amathematic, literally doing this just reshapes the symbols, but I want this external action to be possible. I want to slam sixes into threes. I want to blow nines into eights and iron out fives and weld them into twos. The symbols are harder to imagine being reshaped when they are humbers, the tens placd and ones must maintain individual interpretation. But if we establish actions that reshape every dumber into every other dumber we can do the same for hunimal… Sometimes it feels like this edternal and emotionally violent approach to math is niggering and the old numbers feel evil and must be humanized out of their flaws. An evil seven losing its arm and becoming a one can be liberating from the meaning of your behaviors. An escape of restructuring out of a meaning gone sour and corrupt. I need a term for reshaping numbers in this way, “morph” or something. I want to have an app where I can remove numbers from paper and change them and then collapse them back into the paper. A game or program where little tools to manipulate shapes of symbols allows for direct manipulation
